Save the date! EFFINET Workshop. 30th September, 2014. Barcelona

Workshop EFFINET Barcelona

“Efficient Integrated Real-time Monitoring and Control of Drinking Water Networks”

Agbar Foundation. Cornellà de Llobregat (Barcelona), Tuesday 30th of September 2014

We are pleased to invite you to the EFFINET Workshop Barcelona to be held on the 30th of September 2014 in Agbar Foundation, Can Serra Building (Cornellà de Llobregat, Barcelona).  Registration is free of charge and limited to 100 participants. Event will be held in English.Save the date! This workshop is organized in the framework of the European project EFFINET. Its main goal is to present results of research and development and pilots’ case study (Barcelona and Limassol). The several speakers will talk about events detection in distribution water systems (leaks and quality), demand forecasting and optimal operational control in water transport networks. A life demo of project integrated software platform will be shown and a round table will be co-organized with the other FP7 projects under the same call (FP7 ICT 2011) coordinated from Spain (UrbanWater and WatERP).EFFINET is a European project coordinated by AQUALOGY in which 10 European institutions participate. For the last two years, the project has promoted collaborative research and development on ICT solutions for efficient water systems management in order to achieve following objectives:

  • Real-time operational control: Determining the best strategies for water and energy use.
  • Real-time network monitoring: Avoiding water leakage and risk of inadequate water quality.
  • Demand forecasting and management: Understanding consumer demands to promote more efficient demand patterns from consumers.
  • Integrated software platform: Integrated and open source environment with real-time interaction between systems (SCADA, AMR, models, telemetry) and computing modules.
  • Real-life pilots of the integrated solution in Barcelona (Spain) and Limasol (Cyprus).
